![]() ![]() Elena Evdokimova, an activist with the Other Russia coalition, has been summoned for the interrogation with regard to the criminal case initiated under Article 282 part 2 (participation in activities of a public or religious association which is banned with a court ruling on grounds of extremism). Evdokimova has been summoned for the interrogation by Kozitsyn V.M., an investigator on cases of especial importance at the prosecutor’s office of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The interrogation has been fixed for 11 am, November 15. At that, Kozitsyn tried to question Evdokimova on October 30 but she refused as the investigator didn’t have official summons. We have to remind that on 25 October the police held the second search in the flat of Yury Staroverov, a nazbol from Nizhny Novgorod. On 20 March the police launched an unprecedented operation against the democratic opposition of Nizhny Novgorod. At around 8 am searches were held in flats of 17 activists of the Other Russia coalition as well as in the office of Nizhny Novgorod Foundation to Promote Tolerance. The searches were held with regard to criminal case # 130359 which had been initiated on the fact of the confiscation of election posters of the Other Russia as well as officially registered newspapers “Trudodni”, “People’s Friend” and “People’s Watchdog”. On 12 February 2008 Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor’s office of Nizhny Novgorod Region commenced a criminal case under Article 282 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
